The bitch is back...

Yes, after my 2 week hiatus, I am back. A lot has happened in the past 2 weeks. Getting rear ended, strep throat, trip to San Diego...all that fun stuff. Oh yea, that all happened in one day. That was a fun trip. Luckily I had some muscle relaxers to knock me out on the plane since I took the red eye back.

I'm still having trouble with food, but I'm seeing a nutritionist to help me out. I need to start paying more attention to my body and actually fueling it right. I started running again, as you can see to the right, a little further down, there you go, I've updated to week 4. These runs have been pretty brutal. My Week 3 Day 3...that run sucked. I couldn't get going, the voice tracker was off, and I just kind of gave up. I'm mentally blocking myself from being able to run. I realized that on today's run. But before that came W4D1. Best run I've had. Week 4 consists of:
5 min warm-up walk
Jog for 3 minutes
Walk for 1.5 minutes
Jog for 5 minutes
Walk for 2.5 minutes
Jog for 3 minutes
Walk for 1.5 minutes
Jog for 5 minutes
Cool Down
I made it through the first parts pretty okay...started running a new route to change things up a bit. When I got to the second 5 minute run, I stopped half way through. It was rough. So I walked and during the walk I would give myself small targets to run to, and I did pretty well. Oh yeah. It was in the low 50's. Took me back to a few of my races. I wanted to pull out my long tights but best to dress for 10 degrees warmer. That was a good call on my part because I was hot at the end.
Today's run, W4D2, was also a cold run. Again it was the last 5 minutes that got to me. I started walking 2 minutes in. But again, I would give myself a target and run to it. I knew it wasn't going to be a good run when I got a cramp when I first started jogging. Someone needs to hydrate better (hint, it's me). I will be better prepared for Saturday's run!I walked more today but wasn't too far off my pace from Tuesday, so all in all, I'm happy with my runs. Send me good vibes for my run on Saturday. I will jog all the jogs. Ha, that sounds funny.

I was going to write more. I had some great ideas for the blog while I was running; I wish I could just record them in my brain, but that would be creepy (a la Futurama eyephone). But, my dog won't even come near me so I think that means I need to go shower. I'll be on here more regularly. I know, you missed me :)
